TEHRAN, Oct. 18 (MNA) – Mehr has learned that a ship allegedly attacked by American submarines had no links to the Islamic Republic of Iran's shipping lines (IRISL).

On the evening of Saturday, October 18, some foreign media outlets published news claiming that an American submarine had targeted an Iranian liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker. After its initial publication, this news reverberated by a number of Iranian media outlets.

However, based on the follow-up of a Mehr reporter and an examination of information obtained from official sources, the tanker in question had no links to the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL).
